My Thermomix take on an Anna Jones-style broccoli with lemon tahini — bright, nutty and good warm or cold.
This is my independent Thermomix homage to Anna Jones and the comforting appeal of broccoli with tahini. It keeps the spirit of the original inspiration, but the method is written fresh for TM6 and TM7 cooks who want clear settings and a warm, achievable result.
Ingredients
- 🥦400 g broccoli, in florets
- 🥄60 g tahini
- 🍋1 lemon (juice)
- 🧄1 garlic clove
- 💧40 g water
- 🧂Salt
- 🥄Toasted seeds, to serve
Thermomix method
- Steam the broccoli: 500 g water in the bowl, florets in the Varoma, 12 min / Varoma / speed 1. Set aside. Empty the bowl.
- Add garlic, tahini, lemon juice, water and salt. Blend 20 sec / speed 6 to a creamy dressing.
- Spoon the dressing over the warm broccoli and scatter with toasted seeds.
Aly's tips
- Loosen the dressing with more water if it's thick.
- Great over any steamed green — beans, kale, cauliflower.

Serve warm or cold?
Both — it's lovely warm and just as good cold the next day.
